History: Like the other Androids in the 7th Dragon Ball Z movie, not much is known about the Super Android 13 except that he is portrayed as a country boy from the United States and he’s really freaking strong.He doesn’t appear in the movie until after the other two Androids start fighting Goku and Trunks.

The Story behind Deadly Super Android 13

One of the many creations of Dr. Gero in Dragon Ball Z is Android 13. The character appeared in the seventh movie of the Dragon Ball Z series and played a crucial part in the battles that ensued thereon. Also known in the Japanese language as Jinzo’ningen, he was created with two other Androids called Android 14 and Android 15. There were other Androids which Dr. Gero created in an attempt to kill Son Goku and his allies, the Z Fighters. It has already been ten years past since Son Goku destroyed the Red Ribbon Army—mostly comprised of officials whose names were color names. The Red Ribbon army was a military group whose aim was o colonize and dominate the world. Android 13 was one of the ultimate creations of Dr. Gero in a sense that he was made for only one purpose: to kill Goku, He was also programmed to kill everyone who will stop him from fulfilling this mission.

Android 13 did not fully wake up until the time that his brothers Android 14 and Android 15 were already in battle with the Z Fighters, particularly Kiririn, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, and Goku. He was very strong not only in physical terms but in will. He was very determined to fulfill the very cause of his existence, which is to kill Goku. Dressed as a truck driver, he fought Goku alone while his brothers Android 14 and Android 15 were facing father and son Vegeta and Trunks. Due to the massive power of the two androids, Vegeta and Trunks could not overcome them through their normal strength and martial arts skills. They had to transform or level up to their true alien form as Super Saiyans. As a result, their strength caused the demise of Android 14 and Android 15.

This caused Android 13 to show off his special skill that Dr. Gero designed. This technique is very similar to what other enemies had which has something to do with absorbing energy. But in the case of Android 13, he was able to absorb not only the energy but also the micro chips of his brothers. As a result, he was able to incorporate within himself all the assigned programs in his brother’s micro chips. These are the programs which Dr. Gero created from his collection of data when he created robots to follow the Z Fighters everywhere they go. These robots that looked like insects analyzed how the fighters moved in battle and he was able to develop programs that allowed him to circumvent these skills and create cyborgs that will be the Z Fighters’ counterparts in terms of strength, skills, and abilities in fighting.

Android 13, with all these power absorbed, turned into a blue monster. His hair turned orange and his eyes changed. Several Z Fighters attacked him to no avail. He was too strong for them all. Because of this menace, Goku had to use the Spirit Bomb technique—a technique that only calm and good hearted people can do—and this engulfed Android 13, then called Super 13, until he disintegrated and died.
