History: Although at the beginning of Dragonball General Tao isn’t an android he is soon turned into one by Goku. But first, one has to start from the beginning. After seeing the amazing powers of Goku, a hit is put on his head and General Tao eagerly takes up the challenge stating he will beat the young warrior in only three days.


He soon finds Goku and knocks him unconscious thinking he has killed the boy. He leaves to buy himself some new clothes since Goku burned him with a Kamehameha. Goku comes to and decides to climb the tower to become stronger. While Goku does his training General Tao Pai Pai discovers that Goku is still alive and returns to the tower to finish the job he started.

Goku meets him at the battlefield and another fight commences. However, the tables have turned during this match because of Goku’s training on the tower top. In this battle Goku easily overpowers the strength of General Tao Pai Pai. Seeing he is no match for the young Saiyan, Tao Pai Pai pulls the oldest trick in the book, the "what’s that?" bluff. While Goku is looking, Tao Pai Pai throws a grenade straight at Goku and then jumps up in the air to avoid the blast. Goku is too quick for this and quicks the grenade directly at Tao Pai Pai up in the air blowing him to smithereens.

Almost dying, he is rebuilt by his older brother to be half cyborg or android and competes in the Tenkaichi Budokai easily beating the other fighters in his new improved form. He is still no match for Tien who wipes the floor with him. The General is only seen once more in the Dragonball Z series when he is hired as a hit man/bodyguard for a rich snob. He soon flees this place as well when he finds out he has to fight Gohan, Goku’s son.
